Quick FAQ

Most common questions we receive are answered below.

What is the status of the revision process for my abstract?
While the initial acceptance results (Oral or Poster) were announced on April 17, the process for abstracts requiring revisions ended on April 25.

Once authors submit their revised versions through the online module, the abstracts are sent back for further referee evaluation. Following this review, the final acceptance or rejection notifications will be sent to authors via email. The finalization period remains active via the system interface.
How and when should I make the registration payment?
Payments must be made via Bank Transfer (Havale/EFT) according to the bank account details provided on the Registration Page after the acceptance of the abstract.

The payment must be made by the author who performed the submission. Please ensure the transfer description follows this format: “IGRS26 – [Your Abstract ID] – Name Surname”.

Note for Multiple Submissions: If you are the submitting author for two accepted abstracts, please include both Abstract IDs in the description separated by a comma (e.g., “IGRS26 – ID1, ID2 – Name Surname”). Note: Registration fee payment deadline is May 4 , 23.59
Where can I find the templates for Oral or Poster presentations?
The official templates for both oral and poster presentations will be published on our website soon. Once released, authors are required to format their presentations according to these specific guidelines.
When do we use the Word template?
The Word template will be used after acceptance for the final extended abstract upload via the submission module.

Important Notice: Presenting a study at the IGRS Symposium fulfills the international conference presentation requirement for master’s and PhD graduation at Istanbul Technical University.

3MT – 3 Minute Thesis 2026

As part of the International Graduate Research Symposium (IGRS), the Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition will be organized for the second time by the ITU Graduate School. Initiated by the University of Queensland, this internationally recognized competition challenges doctoral students to communicate their research clearly, concisely, and effectively to a non-specialist audience.

The competition will take place on May 13, 2026, at 11:00, in the Senate Hall of the Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center. Doctoral students with an approved thesis proposal may apply until May 1, 2026. By emphasizing clarity, focus, and impact, 3MT enhances research communication skills while increasing the visibility of doctoral research within the interdisciplinary environment of IGRS.
